You don't know what to visit around Aix en Provence during your stay at the Hotel Mozart? It is impossible to stop in our city without going to admire the Sainte-Victoire mountain from close up (about 5 km from our hotel). Today classified as a Grand Site de France, a symbol of Provence, it can be explored by all its paths punctuated by restanques. The Sainte Victoire was Cézanne's muse for most of his life. He painted it without tiring, choosing different viewpoints, at Le Tholonet or on the site of Bibémus. To see all these landscapes with their grandiose panoramas, there is nothing better than to take the road to Le Tholonet from Aix before continuing to Saint Antonin sur Bayon: steles along the way indicate the places where Cézanne liked to put his easel.
Aix en Provence is also ideally located to discover Cassis, its Calanques and its famous vineyards. Less than 40 minutes away by car, the Mediterranean is at your feet! By going to Cassis, you will be able to appreciate the charm of a small fishing port, refined and colourful, the character of the AOC wines grown on the hillsides, the grandiose spectacle of the Calanques sheltering real miniature fjords.
If you prefer the landscapes of inland Provence, head for the Alpilles and Les Baux-de-Provence, classified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". Perched on a rocky outcrop, it offers panoramic views of the Camargue and Provence as far as the eye can see.
